Hello All,
A Ground Assault badge turned up today in my local medal shop.
It seems to be a good one however before I buy it there are a couple of questions I have.
It is made in 2 parts with the eagle apparently soldered to the badge (no rivets). I did a search on the forum and found that this is correct for the maker G.B. however the examples posted are maker marked. Did G.B. produce a badge with a soldered eagle and no maker mark? Or are there any other makers which produced a badge where the eagle was attached by this method?
The badges posted also show the catch mounted onto a round plate which was soldered to the badge, the one I am looking at has the catch soldered to a more oblong (with round ends) plate.
Is this correct?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance,
Best regards,
Adrian.
