    Observers-assman&p.meybaur

Here are a couple of Observers badges offered to me. Since the last string of them were not to forum standards, how do these look?

          Dear Dave,

The Assmann is IMO a fake: wrong wreath and eagle, both not Assmann.

The Meybauer looks ok from here.

          Cheers, Frank

            Hi Dave,
The Assmann marked badge is definately not real - as Frank stated the eagle and wreath are not Assmann components.
The Meybauer looks like an original - an earlier buntmetal one for that manufacturer. I would only expect to see that wide hinge on their earlier one. Their later ones have a much smaller hinge and are made in zinc (these are the more commonly known ones).

              Assmann / Meybauer Observers

              Dave,

Frank and Eric are correct--as usual.

Here's what they should look like. Assmann on the left, Paul Meybauer on the right. Both are buntmetal and the Meybauer is the early heavy version with the long hinge. Need reverse PICS, let me know.
