From what I can see here, definately the same manufacturer. Everything matches up well on these two. Nice badges - I have no doubt both are completely original.

      Hi Guys,

I spend the WE at home without an internet connection and just saw this thread today. In attachment please find my luft ground assault badge. I wanted to post it earlier for comments but I’m not very satisfied with the quality off the pictures. However their good enough to see that the badge has the same set-up as the badges posted by James and Claus. I always thought that the quality of this badge was quit superior to the LGAB by known makers and I’m still wondering what they are made of. On my badge for example you can see that underneath the paint on the clouds a yellow (goldish) metal is showing. The eagle looks as if it is made out of silver and the swastika is polished.. The silverwash is of very high quality and my scans don’t really show the overall quality of this badge. The darker shade you see on the top half of the reverse is just and effect of the scanning and a result off the fact that it is slightly vaulted. Until recently I never saw the same badge and I’m happy to see two other examples on this forum. Kai Winkler has one for sale on his site also. Probably we will never know who made these badges because I also agree that you can’t only rely on the hinge and catch set-up to determine the maker.

      Kind regards
      Philippe

          Hi Philippe,
Your badge is the same as the others IMO. The base metal appears to be zinc - see the tiny bubbles in the finish on the reverse? Only zinc does that. The adler I think may be buntmetal. The quality is very good - a good arguement on the side of Juncker being the manufacturer. But, unless we come across one identical to these marked, I guess we won't know for sure.
