Well, then.....everybody must have a sh1tload of Junckers and Assmanns!
I do think that "OM's" are relatively rare badges!

                  Dear Lorenzo,

Can you please elaborate on the OM = Oscar Meyer theory? Was it just a joke?

                  Cheers, Frank

Ooops! Sorry, Frank...it was a joke! I hope nobody spent too much time trying to research that maker.

Interesting on the "Otto Meybauer" theory. Is there anything on the OM pilot badge construction that can be matched to a Paul Meybauer badge?...hinge, catch, deisign characteristics? It would seem that if Paul took over manufacturing, then some characteristics of the OM Pilot Badge should be seen in a PM Observer or Para badge?

                            How about in WW I.

Did Meybauer mark badges with more than their crest?

                            P. Meybauer?
                            O. Meybauer?

                              Hi Tim,

Yep, they used the family name on badges, but always with a P and never with an O.

                                Hello Gentleman,

Thank you kindly for responding with some great pics and information on this not often seen piece. One question that was not mentioned was the position of the "." on my example, which is to the left of the "O"???. While I think the example is original ass a result of the other examples posted, craftmanship, quality et. I was hoping that someone could add to the position of the "." to the left.

                                Best Regards,
                                JD
