Hi guys,
After received some emails that ask to me if some pilot badges are goods, I do this thread for all collectors who, reading some recent threads where speak about assembly parts of a badge from different firms, can make ables some fakes that, even if some parts of these badges can be closed to good originals, are always fakes.
first I want to say that even if the pilots badge's world is again unknown in some parts, only in few specific cases we can find mixed assembly of badges from different firms and not every firms have done this.
If somebody have this trubble, is always better first put in this forum a thread about it.
I put 2 examples that for me are fakes, are 2 pilot that eagle is closed to a BWS but not the wreath and reverse too => one is marked Osang and one Juncker.
I had them in my hands and I can be sure that if a collector who don't know exactly the particolars of these makers, they risk to buy them because maybe they remember they have seen that hinge in one badge or the rivets in another, they look very fine older and after 2 question to the dealer-dog about their originality and listen the classic answer : " look the hinge and the patina"I am sure they buy it, thinking to have in the hands a nice worn pilot for a good price.
I would be happy if after this thread I will also have helped one of friend
who can said something more is welcome ............
