    Early B&N L Radio Operator/Air Gunners badge

I have had this B&N L badge for some time now and would like to ask the members for their help in confirming it's originality. It is made of tombak with great plating to the wreath and good detail to the eagle. I have never seen another early badge like this one on any other site before. Might someone else have a badge to post so I could compare the two? Thank you in advance.

    Robert

Yep...that's a beauty, Robert. I have one just like it in more worn condition, but it is one of my favorites. I really like the details on this badge. A great tombak badge with a nice "chiseled" appearance that I like .

                  Fantastic, Lorenzo

                  Lorenzo,
Our badges are a perfect match. I questioned the rivets on my badge until I saw yours. Your formatting is fantastic. Really creative. Shows you care about what you display. I need to learn how to do this.
I have really liked my badge too. It's so different from other makers of the period. Thank you, Lorenzo.

Happy to know that it is indeed an original.

A very nice B&NL - Nice to see one not made of zinc for a change!

                          Christian,
That is a nice badge you posted. Is the eagle of zinc? Is the wreath heavy tombak or zinc also? If you ever come to the place where you would like to part with it, please let me know. Thanks again for the photos.

                            Robert,

in my mind this is the standard version of B & NL. I also have an expertise of authencity from Detlev for this badge.
