    P/O by Osang?

    Dear all,

Does anybody of you own an Osang made P/O badge or does somebody have pictures of one in his files?

    Cheers, Frank

Haha, Joe, you are getting better at this!

No, not a trick question! A serious one. I know Osang is supposedly not one of the makers of P/O badges, BUT I have a badge here today with me and are currently photographing it. It seems to be very real. And I havenĀ“t found a copy yet that looks vaguely the same.

Anybody has one before I offer my pics for a heated discussion?

      Cheers, Frank

I had an Osang air gunner badge once that (obviously) turned out to be fake. I have yet to see another exactly like it.

Ok, here are the pics, please be patient for a while and let me post all of them.
Reserve an open mind for this discussion, you will need it - and tell me what you see!

Some things and remarks upfront, so you do not have to go through all the same efforts I already did:

-the eagle only resembles a Juncker type 3 a bit, but is different.

-the rivets are to me of the same type as on my Osang para.

-the makerĀ“s mark is very slightly different to the one on my Osang para and the one on my Osang Luft Ground Combat, but far from looking obviously repro.

-badge has green verdigris in some spots, something that doesnĀ“t build up in a fortnight. badge looks "old", not made yesterday.

-badge has believable overall wear and fading to the gilding.

-hinge is very close to other Osangs (para, LW Ground Combat)

-catch is different because most other Osangs are zinkers. Does somebody maybe have a Buntmetall Osang Frontflugspange with that kind of catch? I know the zinker clasps have other catches.

              Front shot:
              Cheers, Frank
