Hopefully before this post fades into obscurity, I can get a question answered. Prior to this post I had never really noticed the “leaf globs” that are apparently a hallmark of a textbook BSW badge. Was this strictly a trademark of BSW or did other makers have wreaths with the same trait? Before I show the reverse of this badge, I’d like to see what everyone thinks.

      Dear Snigley,

I guess your badge says Osang on the back and is a known fake:

Wow! It's not my badge, but the photos looked good enough that I would like to have had it. The only thing that stopped me was that I really didn't know what an original should look like. I assume that on a badge other than BSW the leaf globs are a bad sign, or was there something else I missed? Thanks!

              Dear Snigley,

Looking at your obverse, that actually IS your badge, you may have a different marking of course.

Yes, not other maker except for BSW has globs on the ends of the leaves of his para wreath. This fake is only other para wreath that has this treat, albeit just similar, not the same.
