Luft Para Badge Assman... Original?

Here's a Luft Para badge made by Assman that I picked up not to long ago. This example has been worn and cleaned. When I got it, I actually had to wash off chunks of the cleaning residue. So the details have been taken down some what. I like the dent to the wing. But there is some questions about the catch. Is this an original badge?
