yes this badge is mine and i got from an old collector friend of mine who bought from the familiy. This is not a COA aswell, but it is none of these dealer or flee market sources.

i know it but i was a little bit lazy .... we discuss about this type of RSS badge in german too and there it's forbidden to show the swaz. I used the same pictures as in the german board.

Hi ak,

I see some small characteristics on your clasp I like to see on original RSS clasps, so it is either original or a good casting. At least it isn´t a "made from scratch" fake, we can exclude that.
If you go back in the thread and take a look at the pic I posted back then in 2003 and compare with the clasp I show now, you will note that I own another RSS clasp by now. I upgraded. Same catch as on my old one though (and the same as on the other originals I have seen so far). And guess what - vet acquired!

I do miss the typical RSS finish on your clasp, e.g. it seems to be in great condition, but are the swastika and the leaf highlights burnished? It does not seem so.

Now go back again in the thread and look at the pics Mike K posted back then of the clasp with that strange catch. Look at the pin! I think you agree it is more like a CCC pin, found on original and fake CCCs. Maybe that was realized and improved on the more recent generation of that fake? (If it is a fake, of course)

One detail I have noted on buntmetal RSS bomber clasps is that the bomb's central tail fin is slightly offset to the right ... this is evident on Frank's clasp and in the pic below. Another characteristic to consider on an original RSS??
