    Maker-'Unmarked' P/O Badge - Any Thoughts?

Thanks to those who took a look at my Pilot's Badge earlier: tonight's sleep is looking good.

But whilst I'm on the subject of Luftwaffe Badges. Does anyone have any thoughts as to the maker of this badge.

I have to say that, so far, I'm still uncertain about the distinguishing characteristics of the different makers, i.e. wreath design etc. I read with envy when my fellow forum users talk about these characteristics so adeptly.

So please help and put me out of my misery.

    Thanks for your time.

    Toby.

I'd guess the maker might be Ron Manion.

        Seriously though,
I've never seen an authentic badge that has the characteristics of this badge's wreath or eagle.
Could we get some more shots, maybe from the side, or close-ups?
        Thanks and Good Luck!

The details on this badge do not conform to any known examples of a genuine badge. This does not automatically discount its authenticity, just value in the eyes of other experienced collectors.

                  Hi Toby,

I would not be comfortable with this one. I am always wary of wreath profiles like that and there appears to be no real finish on the badge. Looks like a gold/bronze coloured basemetal wreath from the images.

                    Mike, Yuri, Eric and Tim,

Thank you for your feedback re. the P/O badge. As a result I'm going to build an image library of badges by different makers. I'll nip this one in the bud.

                    Thanks again guys.

                    Toby.
