Thank you, Paul and Joseph, for the additional pictures. You've convince me that my badge's wreath is NOT a Meybauer wreath, but more along the line of Juncker. You saved me a return. I appreciate your help in this!
        Many thanks to all. Robert

          Badge looks good to me

          Robert,

The front looks good to me and I like the maker's mark as it has the 'little" details about the Meybauer logo that I like and feel comfortable with on originals.

Here's some PICS of mine as requested. Mine is early tombak and in mint minus (1-) condition along with the case. Weight on mine is a heavy 43.15 grams FYI.

OOP's, it would have been nice to attach the PIC

            Here it is

Looks a bit shiny as the factory clear coat is still very evident on both the front and back. Makes it a bit awkward to photograph with the reflection and almost takes away the beauty and details IMO.

              Reverse

You can see the wreath detail on my badge matches the other guy's badges as well. Not sure what to say about different dies or shared parts, sorry.

                Maker's Mark/Hinge and Rivet details

Sorry, got distracted and the site dropped me out. Here's some more to look at. My maker's mark is not cleanly stamped, but it's there.

Here's what I mean by being hard to photograph and having the reflection subtract from the details.

                    Last one--The box top

Case is in pretty good shape overall.

What a fantastic piece, Tim. This is a great example of why I like the Luftwaffe flight badges over any other 3rd Reich medal or badge. They are every one a masterpiece, a work of precision art. Thanks, Tim. Beautiful piece and rare find! Robert
