    Assman Pilots with New Addition

Hello, I just wanted to show these two Assman's with the new addition

having a thin wreath.I was wondering if there are opions on the thinner

    wreath design of this version?

I would imagine it would be of the earlier Assman of the two.I have the

weights of the two badges; Thin wreath:32g. Thicker wreath;43g.

    Any opinions are greatly appreciated!

    Regards,Ron

                      Hi Ron,

I would assume that the thinner wreath version is earlier too, although it isn't the earlier thin wreath of which there were two designs, "early thin" and "early thin egg". Does that make sense?

Nice pic up on the A. Dau badge. Traceable to a Fighter pilot!

                      Calv'

                        Hi Tim,

Yes,your explanation makes sense,i'm sure you are referring to the

very early 1st pattern Assman PB with the gap between the legs.

I was able to find this link in which it shows Arthur Dau,(JG51),with having 7

victories & showing him as a POW on Aug.28,1940.Obviously,must have bailed

out in time during the Battle Of Britain.

Thanks for the reply,as i'm very happy with receiving the Badge!
