    C.E. Juncker Pilot Badge

Recently acquired through eBay. So much for their ban on the swaz! Looks allright to me. The cut-out between the legs is a nice feature.

Sorry to say...your badge is a modern reproduction. We recently had a thread on this type, it should be in the archives

      Yep..sorry.

Look for information on "dipped wreath" examples.

can you get your money back?

Accidentally offending people on the internet since 1997

Absolutely right, Andy. At first glance the eagle looks to be the 1st pattern. Wreath is completely wrong. Very rearely do you find any original flight badges on eBay. Repros abound!! Better doing business with reputable dealers with inspection periods/return priveledges.

They're really starting to get the 1st pattern Juncker very close!
So long as they keep getting the other bits wrong we're still on dry land!

Dave, any chance you could tell us where the badge came from?

              Hi Rich

The seller lives in Baltimore & offers a 3 day money back guarantee so I believe he sold it in good faith. I'll know for sure when I get my bux back! I love this board, I got several educated opinions within minutes of posting. Chalk up another victory for the internet and the free flow of information!

                Hi Dave,

Since Mr. Hopkins has too much class to pat his own back....
                I'll do it for him!
Check out his excellent article on this very site, he mentions this type of badge under "The Latest and Greatest" twords the end of the article.
