    Air gunner ohne blitzbundel

    Hi guys,

Just got back from the Raleigh N.C. show. Overall it was a good show for me. I got to meet several forum members and picked up a few nice items at great prices.

By far the best score of the show is the following unmarked AG badge. Very thick, nickel silver wreath with tombak fittings. The eagle has about 75% of its blackening still left with polished highlights. The wreath retains about 75% of its frosted finish as well. The eagle looks nickel silver, but the rivets are tombak.

On top of the excellent quality, check out the cut off blitzbundel, this was born as radio operator eagle, but was modified to be a badge for the flight engineers/aerial gunner.

Although unmarked, can anybody guess the maker?

    Thanks for looking.

    Tom D.

                            Hi guys,

                            Thanks for the reply's.

Skip, you are right, these Assmann's are beauties. I was initially thrown off by the rivets not having their typical "nipple" feature. Also, the lights at the show didn't really do this badge justice, when I got it into the sunlight, it just sparkled and the quality is awesome. I like it alot.

                            Thanks
