Yes, I would agree also but the gold finish does look a touch off for this maker.
If it was mine I would try a little bit of acetone on a small area just to see if it comes off. Might just be the photo though.

A little bit of nail polish remover on a Q-tip and when the paint gets weak or comes of it's postwar done..

I like to call them FLL because I believe this to be conclusive, others certainly do not agree. Everybody can make up his mind about this. I SUGGEST they are FLL.

Has anyone else seen an Observer badge with the dead on same wreath as the unknown maker and hardware on the back? I recall that Weitze had one on his web site some time ago.

Have you noted the rivet on the right ? As a GWL rivet, so, possible to be a unmarked GWL, why not ....
