    Pilot badge juncker or IMME.

    Hello,

If saw a pilot badge on kai-winkler with maker mark Juncker and IMME on the same badge.
That to my knowledge doesn't exist or am I wrong? Any comments?
    Look at picture
    Greetings

I immediately do not like the "CE Juncker" logo. The lettering is incorrect for the period this badge was manufactured. Can we see images of the rest of the badge?

      Hello Nick,
How did you manage to save pics from his site ?
I've tried but the window the badges come in isn't active....

My concern is that these badges are very good castings of a original, put in 2 makermarks and you have a "rare" kind of badge.
What's the advance of having 2 marks stamped in over eachother ??
I don't believe in these badges and time will learn what more high end castings there are....
I don't like them till someone proofs different !!

      Jos.

        Juncker-IMME

        Hello,

Well I don't like the maker marks either. But I have to say that the rest of the badge looks very good (IMO).

        Jos, Saving pictures:

I use Print Screen (the button on your keyboard)
And than import it to a foto-editor, by using edit past into a new page. (Hope you understand what I'm saying, anders zal ik het jou eens in het nederlands pm'en
        )

Here are some other shots. They are small but it's the best I can do.

Very nice detail to the eagle, but I don't know if the wreath is correct.

              Hmmm....

              Hi Nick,
Neat trick with the pic! How DID you save it anyway? As for the badge, I'm with Jos here - I personally don't like the double marked badges either. I know that we've pretty much established that IMME and Juncker shared parts. But what sense would it make back then to double mark them with both manufacturers marks? The government agency which ordered the badges wouldn't care how they were marked as long as they had the item they ordered. The recipient wouldn't care how the badges were marked - they would just be happy to have the award. The "fakers" in this era on the other hand would see $ signs for such a "rarity". The Juncker firm would never put any other inferior logo over their firms mark, so IMO, it's not Juncker made. In addition, the "SW68" at the end of the Juncker mark was, as far as we know, only on later war zinc badges ( usually Air Gunners Badges). The badge in your pic appears to be buntmetall. As for IMME, I don't see any of their later war badges marked in this manner. Later ones are marked JMME & SOHN Berlin. I call this badge later war because of the SW68 on the Juncker mark beneath the IMME mark. The badge might be a little more believable if the Juncker mark didn't hold the SW68 at the end. In any rate I still would not like it. So, to sum it up, there is an early war IMME mark OVER a late war C.E. Juncker Berlin SW68
mark on a supposedly early (buntmetal) badge. Sorry, but I just don't like these type of badges!

                well, well, well

ohhhhhhh kia winkler did it again, that would be €895 in the garbage collector
Thanks Eric for your interesting info.
But why would fakers made such a good looking badge and then make it suspicious by putting two maker marks on it?

They make it good looking to deceive so you'll buy it. They make it "interesting" (suspicious to you and me) by adding an additional maker mark so now a good looking fake becomes a "rare" good looking fake, thus deceiving you into paying even more for it than you would normally for a more "common" single maker marked badge. Until someone could show me one of these that came from a bonafide grouping or from a Luftwaffe vet himself, I will continue to feel uncomfortable about owning one of these badges.
