            Rich,

First thing I saw was the hinge barrel cut marks. I'm am used to seeing the Deumers with the saw marks above the hinge. Your badge has them beneath the hinge. Not bad, but just a different detail of a detail!

The blueing is a beautiful deep blue. Wonderful.

            J.T-W,

            Ah, a P/O....

                    Jeff

Interesting repair on the hinge. Have the rivets been repaired too? I can't tell from the pics.

Is your 2 hinge case identical to the cases I posted?

                      Jeff,

I noticed the same thing Rich did. I've never seen rivets that large on a Deumer?

                      Regards,

Rich, Mark, my case is identical to yours on the outside but you didn't show a picture of the inside, mine is like a platform on the inside where the badge is raised above the bottom. It is a period repair on the hinge and I do not know if the rvets were replaced, the pic I posted mkes them look bigger than they are but they are silver in color as opposed to your bronze/brass collored ones-I lean tward them being not replaced...Cheers...Jeff

Check post #3. You'll see the interiors, albeit with badges.

                            Hi Jeff,

Sorry to persue the rivet issue, but I don't know if silver color (silver colored alloy) are acceptable on this particular badge. The norm is brass colored (tombak) rivets.

Anyone else have an example with silver colored rivets?

                            Regards,
                            Mark
