I think as early as one can get. No maker mark but quality abounds.

I'm fairly sure the badge is made from neusilber and the eagle has a beautiful shade of bluing that does show up too well in the photo.

Amazingly crisp, of course we want to see the back. That one must have been put aside for a cloth version.

Thanks for the appreciation. I must say while the condition is excellent, it definitely has been on a tunic. You can see from the top of the pin where the bluing has rubbed away from the tunic loop and also on the wing tips.

Initially I thought Juncker but looking again I think Deumer...hinge and catch style are more like Deumer products.
