    Yet Another Pilot Badge Thread...

--I added this one a little late in the "Pilot's Badges Nobody Talks About" thread and figured I'd fish for more replies by starting it off on it's own.
--To sum it up, it's unmarked and in it's case (not pictured), buntmetal was used for the wreath and German silver for the eagle. The badge is pretty weighty at 43 grams.
    --Any ideas on maker?

      Hi Bill,
IMO, it's a GWL. Stocky wreath, same adler as my marked earlier example. I'll post it here for comparison.

The unmarked example was not made from the same die as the GWL. The last thread on this subject has the proof as posted by Lorenzo.

            Yuri,
The man asked for opinions on a maker of his badge, so I gave one. I see that you offered no opinion on a maker in the last thread that you mention here or this one. Do you have one now? I never said they were from the same die, but quite a few people were in agreeance, including myself, that the same artisan created both eagles. An artisan employed by GWL? Maybe, maybe not. Both badges ARE distinctly different. A second set of dies could have been a possibility - at this point I don't know and I don't think anyone else does either. I stated the wreath was stocky, not identical in manufacture, to a known marked GWL and the eagle was the same style as my so marked GWL. So my PERSONAL opinion about these badges like Bills are that they are GWL made. I'm not stating fact, just an opinion!
When someone finally comes across one like this marked by a manufacturer other than GWL, I will be most happy to change my stance on this. We as a forum are still seeking a name to call this particular badge as stated on the earlier thread. Do you have any thoughts on a name for this type of Pilots Badge?

--C'mon guys, how many PB's do you collectively own? No ideas?
--Well, thanks Yuri and Eric! Guess I'm on my own on this one.
