    Frank,
It's all been said, but I'll say it again.... Superb!!

If I may, and for the sake of reference, I'll post a recent acquisition in the form of the other maker, BSW.

        Glider badges

        Hello,

Thank you also for contributing John, also a very nice example => a different maker but non the less, top quality badge

@ Frank do you mind to show us a close up from the maker mark ?

I cant say what price Frank did pay (and honoustly i do not care or want to know) but to talk about pricing of these (original) badges you can set foryourself the simple rule :

        Buntmetal

        1) C.E.Juncker marked : between 1.500 and 2.000 euro

        2) non maker marked but C.E.Juncker product : between 1.000 and 1.500 euro

        3) BSW maker marked : arround 1.500 euro

        4) BSW non maker marked : between 1.000 and 1.500 euro

Zink pieces are expected to cost less but this does depend on the quality and condition of the badge.

Cordial greetings and thanks in advance,

Here is the mark. Already dark here so I have to use the scanner, not ideal but you get the idea. It is of course the regular Juncker mark.

Btw, I was very happy that it came uncased as I do not really collect cases and am always glad to avoid the extra cash.

              @JTW: Great badge!
              Cheers, Frank

                  Glider Badge

As Joseph has already said it certainly helps with quality images. Great badge and the Swaz is simply sparklingly good looking.

Beautiful Glider Frank! I really like the polished swastika and the quality of that eagle! Thats a great find.

                      Uh Oh,

With the close up of the makermark, I think something is wrong. Shouldn't that makermark have a '68' after the SW.

I guess this is a early festive present

If it is not then it should be!
                        Congratulations Frank
I too would like an addition like this badge in my collection some day!

                          Hi Frank,

Very nice looking badge! Great finish on the wreath and pin. I'm with you when it comes to cases as well, although they do add something when displaying the badge.

Even this nice example has b*gger all dark finish on the obverse of the eagle though. You scans confirm my belief re Juncker casting these wreaths.

Seems I got lucky and picked mine up at a decent price a few years ago - I couldn't afford one from Germany these days!

                          Regards

                                Frank/Stijn

Whats with the finish on the the obverse of the eagles on these, they very rarely seem to have any of the dark finish to match the reverse.

Is that the way they came or was it common practise among the recipients to clean it off?
