HELP - opinions about this radio operator´s badge

    Hello friends,

Let me see if you can help me here . I have this Radio Operator´s Badge for a while and would like to hear your opinions about this one.

It measures roughly 50mm X 40mm and bears the JMME makers mark on the eagle´s back. The pin and the catch seems to be replacements as I didn´t manage to find anything similar to this one at the pictures I´ve seen here and at big dealers´ site.

Well, I´ll let the pictures do the talking.

I´m looking forward to read your opinions.

    GK.

Gene, the eagle and wreath look cast with soft details, and the wide, flat "rivets" do not inspire confidence. My bet is the pin and catch are original to this repro.

I agree with Scott, everything about this badge is wrong and all belongs together. Unfortunately a fake.
                Cheers, Frank

                  OUCH!!
                  That hurt!
So, I have a fake badge! I mean, no replaced plats or a case of uncommon variation...Sad news indeed.

Can anyone be kind to show me how a correct version looks like?

Many thanks for your help and attention.

                      Thank you Skip!

I made some research abouth RO/AG badges and found this old topic:

I think that Ricky showed a picture of the same kind of badge. Am I correct?? So, such "rare" model doesn´t exist, does it?

Sorry about the insistence, but I´m trying to learn something!

Gene, if you are referring to the badge shown in posts 10, 11, and 12 of that thread, I think Rick was joking around...

Thanks. I was not familiar with Ricky******180; sense of humor. Now I could see the posts******180; titles...

That******180;s what I******180;m afraid: no chance to my badge...

                            Gene,

Believe me, we feel your pain. Don't let your RO/AG badge get you down - most of us have received the same news on a badge or two, or three ... or four... . This website is the great equalizer among collectors

                            PS, Welcome to the forum!
