    luftwaffe para badge

    Hello All,

I would like to ask for abit of advice regarding the quality and detail that the firm of Junkers are renowned for in their Badges.

I have recently bought a luftwaffe para badge maker marked Junkers Berlin, i am 99.9% sure it's genuine, i got it from bill shea,
having a closer inspection with my eye glass/loupe i noticed that the hooked parts top bottom of the eagles beak is not there and it lookes like to me of not very good quality of the firm of junkers.

Or is it that i may be asking to much and being over fussy.

Has anyone else out there noticed this with their junkers para badge.
All comments welcome good or bad, tell me what you think.

    Thank's,
    lee.

    Hi Lee;

Perhaps you can post some photos of it?
    Best regards,

      Hello Tony,

Thank's for your reply, i don't have any means to post pictures at the moment and i 'am not realy sure how to get them on here.

Do you have any pictures you could post of a junkers made luftwaffe para badge, like i did say it's the hooked bit top bottom of the beak, it may just be me over doing it with the magnifiying glass, knit picking, but you hear all the things what people say about Junker's excellent quality, mind you it is my first junkers made badge, the rest of the badge i can't find anything wrong.

      lee.

Thank's to all for you help it i realy appreciate it.

As long as those pictures post by Rick are of a genuine Junkers made badge, i am very very happy now, that badge is identical to the one i own, right down to the hooked bits on the eagles beak.

I think my problem is i have never own one of these before so i have not been able to draw comparisons between makers, i did not think i would ever have a Junker's version in my possession, i haven't stoped studying it since it arrived, over doing it with my magnifiying glass might be the wrong thing to do i suppose.

            Many thank's

            lee.

              Genuine

              Hello hawksy,
You can be quite sure that the pics Rick posted are of a genuine Juncker Para Badge! Studying it closely the wrong thing to do? I don't think so! The closer you study it and are able to pick out minute details that are unique to the manufacturer Juncker ( clipped claw, leaves on the wreath, etc.) the better off you will be in the future when trying to determine the authenticity of a Juncker piece you are considering adding to your collection. So, definately keep studying and studying and studying!!!!

                Hello Eric,

perhaps, it's like i mentioned before because i have never owned one of these badges of any other maker i don't realy appreciate the quality that goes with the Junker made badges, i will say though i am over the moon with the one i have, and i feel even better now that mine is identical to the one Rick post, i only wish i could post some pictures of mine, i will sort something out in the near future.

And thank's for the advice on studying these badges, i don't think i could stop if i wanted to.

                Thank's
                lee.

                    Philippe,

Looking at the web site you recomended i can now see the reason people like Junker Badges, there is nothing wrong with the other makers but Junker did seem to have the edge on quality.

                    Thank's for posting pictures.

                    lee.
