I might be wrong, but the badge looks unusual to me. The hinge, the catch, and the rivets are not what I'm used to seeing on an Assmann Observer Badge (not Pilot Observer). Also, and maybe it's my eyes, but the reverse wreath looks awefully smooth to me. And it's hard to discern the finish hues with the images you provided.

Let's see what others think.

Hi,

Imo, no, not new generation. This is the dip wreath repro that is the hardest one to pick because it uses all Assmann components. Hinge and finish (that tell-tale light scratching) are still not right.
