what do you think about the diamond observer badge.....
Is it real or what?

My guess is "IMIT" means imitation (reproduction). It doesn't look like any diamond PO badge I've seen in period photos

The badge shown is a copy. The pin, hinge and catch are wrong as is the thickness of the wreath and lack of sharp details around the wreath.

However, IMIT is the proper mark for the PO with Brilliants made of silver with rhinestones.
