Looks like the old collector has a lot of fakes in his collection.

I saw 3 faked CCC's, a faked PAB, 2 faked P/O Badges, a faked EK1 ....
All were very well made, but known fakes.

Hi Joerg,,,I had the same experience with one of these "older collectors"

Most of his stuff was original , but played with.

In the end he tried to charge me 9000 euros for his collection , which offered nothing out of the ordinary, except played with badges and a pile of Mothers Crosses and other assorted junk.

Your guy sounds a little like mine.

Hi Dion,

yes, it looks like some older collectors like to sell their bad stuff to the younger ones. I made this experience several times before. Always when I visited an older collector, they only offered their questionable items, well made fakes or "08/15"-stuff.

Of course this man has some nice pieces in his collection - a S&L KC, a very nice Deschler DKiS and many nice war badges, but of course these ones are not for sale
