          Steve,

If I was you I would´nt bother paying for it, unless it costs 20$ that is.

Try a search on Osang Para, we´ve discussed these to death.

            Hi Steve

I have to agree with Skip on this badge............but they do look ever so convincing until you have compared them to known originals. The mm, eagle wreath all bad..............for me anyway.

            Best,
            Joe

I agree, anything over $20 is a waste of money. This is not an original badge.

                wow

I did look at some examples in Detlev's book and it wasn't the same. This badge is really made well very hard to believe! I have it here pending payment but it will be going back to it's origin. Does anyone have a link to the thread in mention. Frank if you are out there I would like to hear your opinion also. The more opinons the better is always good.
                Thanks guys

                  Dear Steve,

I have to agree with the other guys, these have been discussed before and never was the consense a positive one for the badge. Even if you would turn it around like "who says there are no Tombak Osang paras?", the condemning factor is that even the maker mark does not compare favourably to the original Osang mark, including the second style accepted Osang mark. Wreath is not right and especially hinge and pin are quite crudely made.
                  Cheers, Frank

Steve, here is a recent thread on the FJ forum with a good Osang para example,

Agreed with others. I got taken for $300 on exactly the same repro. I got my money back after fighting for it. Don't buy it and send it back so you don't have to do it my way.
                      Regards
                      Thomas

a quick search under Osang Para chucked out all these:

                            Thank you all

Well I thank you all for your inputs on this badge.I had my doubts but it sure is made well. That is all I can say (WOW). This forum is certianly a helpful tool and can save one much money. It was picked up at the Fort Mitchell KY show back in August by a close friend of mine who has been collecting since the early seventies. It certainly fooled him and he is usually no slouch when determining authenticity. I guess he will have to come to terms with it.
                            Anyway thanks again
                            Steve
