      Thank you for your reply.Yes its unfortunate and it is what it is.I have the chance to buy this and several more German ww2 badges ,some with pin & catch damage and others without damage.All of which once belonged to an English actor who died in 1981 from what I have been told.

              Yep, a nice original Ball hinge flak in Zink. As Alex says, these zinkers are much harder to fine than their earlier, nickel silver brethren. I had a hard time finding one for my collection.

                Thank you for your help Gents,much appreciated.The pictures from the seller were not great so just wanted to be sure.I bought the lot for £125 so thought I did okay considering the wound badge and DRL have no damage at all.I might even have a go at repairing the broken pin on the mine sweepers badge if i can find something suitable to use.
