Far from an expert and I cant find the back picture but yours looks the same as mine. I was told it was original when I posted it here on WAF for feedback some years ago

Hi Juan,

The black thread on the reverse is the only negative I see, that is a telltale sign of fakes as far as FJ cloth badges goes, not sure if that holds true with Pilot Badges too. The rest of it looks fine to me, just not the black thread on the reverse is questionable.

Interesting to know...I cant find my original back picture (with lost a whole bunch of stuff) but I did find the original seller back picture in my archives. Not as dark as the one Juan posted but its also 2 tone using a lighter grey as the 2nd thread on the back. From what I understood for "backing embroidery, they pretty much used whatever they could get their hands on for the back and backing thread colours varied

Many original specialist sleeve insignia show the black and other color threads, not a problem IMO, the design, weave and thightness is the problem most of the time.
40 Euro always was the normal price, yes,, these things ain't rare, but those days are gone.
