QUESTION: Gold Standing or Bronze w/ Original Box

I want to see what most of you out there think...

Would you rather buy a badge in a lower rank/ Class/ Standing (Bronze rather than Gold or Silver) ***WITH IT'S ORIGINAL BOX***

OR...

Buy the same badge in the highest class (Gold or Silver) ***WITHOUT A BOX?***

EXAMPLE:

If you had about $695.00 to spend.
BOTH ARE THE SAME PRICE***

Would you buy a GOLD Luftwaffe Bombers Clasp? NO BOX***

OR...

Would you buy a BRONZE Luftwaffe Bombers Clasp WITH ORIGINAL BOX?***

I find myself stuck in the middle of this situation often.
This question goes with pretty much every item.

I always try to find items that are in there original box! If I can afford it...

Interested to see the responses...Please Share your experiences...

Both are nice though, I would take the Bronze...

If the case is in excellent condition I would go for the boxed clasp too

The question you should answer is HOW you plan to display this clasp: in a glass cabinet with the lid of the case open, or in a Riker case with other clasps and badges. A buddy of mine acquired a slew of nice badges with their cases, but then he decided to display his badges in Riker cases, so now these beautiful cases are stored away in a box in his closet where nobody ever sees them. In my opinion, he spent a lot of money on the cases when he could have used that extra money to purchase some other badges.

I want to have as many clasp as possible so in my case no boxes so far. So for the $695 I would try to get a bronze and silver bomber instead of a bronze clasp in a box.
