    J4 flak

    Hey Guys,

Thought I would share my newest Flak with you all, it was a variant I was missing and big thanks to my friend who found it for me.

I love the two tone look to the front where the eagle looks to be a finer zinc and has absorbed the finish quicker.

    Best,

    Jordan

Nice badge buddy! The contrast is something i have not seen before.
Don't have a clue what caused it. A difference in basemetal would sound logic, but when looking from the reverse i would say it's the same.
Another badge for your flak temple

      Hi Jordan,

Great later-war Juncker flak badge, looks great I love the two-tone affect. I think the wreath was cleaned of dark finish on the obverse, but the left the eagle dark and the back of the wreath is still dark. I could see this being done by the recipient so the badge shows out more on the uniform, it was pretty common for Paras to polish their Para badge wreaths to make them shiny silver instead of the factory black that it came with.

      Great addition my friend.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

First time I’ve seen something like that and really like the contrast. Hope it doesn’t start a new fad and suddenly everyone is stripping the finish off of the eagles on their badges.
