Did Juncker badges change in thier design as the war progressed, like the pilots badges, Ist 2nd and 3rd types?

        Here's a shot of a J1 and a J2. Not sure about a 3rd pattern.

              Hey!

Those are great badges. I'll have to add a few new ones to my list!

                Tim,
Thanks for the nice scans, do you know if j2 was produced prewar or wartime only?

                  Hi Warren,

The second pattern air gunners and pilots are much more aggressive and intimidating looking than the first pattern badges, so I'd guess that this change was made with the coming of war.
                  Just a guess.

Good Luck in your search Stogie, Detlev has a very nice second pattern badge at the moment.

Tim's badge marked CEJ (beautifull again!) is the 1st type, then come another type marked C.E.JUNCKER BERLIN SW again with thin wreath like 1st type ( mine ) made before and maybe in just beginnen war time , then come from the beginnen of the war like 2nd pattern but with big wreath- for me 3rd pattern - (like 2nd badge of Tim) and then after the midle war time come the last zinc's type.

In this thread we can see beautifull examples of Juncker's type.
Unfortunately I have not a Juncker in zinc (I have only deumer and unmarked). If some of our friend have one, please put here so this thread is completely!

I haven't juncker's zinc type but I have the cartonage for this last types.

                        Another Early Type 2

Great badges! These never interested me until I held Tim Calvert's and really had the chance to appreciate the detailing in this badge.

                        Eric & Ivan,

It appears that I have the same version as your two badges. This version along with the earlier one marked "CEJ" have the sharpest looking eagle IMO. Later Juncker's seem to have the same basic style eagle as the other makers.

The wreath is thinner and the overall weight of my badge is only 23.7 grams compared to my IMME&Sohn at 33.5 grams.

The question is--When is TC going to sell me his CEJ?
