Pilot badge opinion.

What is this one worth? (if it's a real one)
I think that imme is not very common or am I mistaken?

Attached is a scan of my "IMME" marked Pilot badge. Although others have expressed doubts about it because of the "IMME" mark, I have studied it closely and I am convinced of its authenticity. I don't know whether or not the badge you show is the same, but you can compare the scans and draw your own conclusions.

Regarding price. The "IMME" marked badge is very rare. 'Nuff said.

Both look fine to me, I would like to have both in the collection, and they are very reminicent of the Junker badge.

Hi Nick,

your badge looks nice but ....... I have some doubt about hinge -pin-hook's system.

they look made like the same metal as the wreath.
Normally must not be the same. Some years ago I bought a pilot Jmme fake ( following the reverse.....the obverse I don't find in my files!)
if you look closed the system, looks similar, but otherwise the other points are differents => your badge in general looks more closed of Lorenzo's badge. Little different the rivets but yours are not the same of the fake one.

I know that now I get confusion to you, sorry! but I desidered to show you a fake one for compare the critical points

Yes indeed there are some small differences between the 2 badges, but I think everything is the same as for detail. Don't you think?
How do you see that the hook is from the same metal as the wearth?
And is this the reason for saying "yes" it's fake or "no" it's original?
IMO I take it as an original piece.

Nick, IMO your badge is fine. I have a PO badge in one of my groups identical to yours. I think this style of IMME badge (w/ the larger logo lettering) is the earlier one. If you compare it to a version w/ the smaller block lettered IMME, the hinge is a bit longer and thinner, and the catch is formed a bit differently. In fact, the hinge and catch on the badges like Nick's are almost identical to those on a Juncker. IMME badge are every bit as nice a Juncker, and IMO were struck from the same dies.

Well let's go on. Here is a Radio operator/Air gunner's badge from the same maker mark. I like this one to. Nice patina and I think it's Tombak. Am I right?
Is this a late war piece?

your radio-airgunner by my opinion is a good one.

Hi Nick. From the scan, I think the badge looks OK . I am not familiar with that style mark on the badge...usually seen on the Pilot badge. I have seen the mark as shown on Ivan's badge. "JMME & Sohn Berlin".
Maybe others can comment.

yes, no problem for archive.

even if is not marked as mine ( Lorenzo has seen right) I am nearly sure your is okay => I can feel it from the special metal's type characteristicsof tombak of Jmme in these badges - in the hands even if a bit dirty, you can see a special light as if is in silver made ( is it right?)
