    Hi Sasha,

    Welcome to the Forum.

Could be that the hooks been very cleanly reapplied to the badge. It looks to be a little to high towards the edge of the wreath, usually they are more centrally placed.
Also notice the solder coming out from the side of the hook and the discolouration around the hook. Its been very nicely done though and hardly noticable. Looks like the badge has also been chemically cleaned, which is a shame.
Still a nice original badge though.

Nice pictures BTW, but how do you manage exceed the limit of 700x750?

      Nice badge,

Skip,I think the catch is original to the wreath,I've seen a few of these "high" catches before and the shape of this one is good as well..
Catch, hinge and rivet areas have the same discoloration IMO ,just my thought.

        Hi Jos,

Yes, I agree that its the original hook. Sure looks like the right material and shape. It just does´nt look quiet right and could´nt the place I´ve marked here be from the original catch?

The discolouration around the hook looks like burn marks from a torch. That brown "gooey" looking stuff around the hinge and rivets looks like residue from cleaning.

Really hard to say, but my vote, from the pics, would be nicely reattached.

he give also possibility that was hook repaired after war.
I heared many diferent opinions about this hook, it is pretty
          clean wrought.

Sorry, about my English, I use lexicon :-)

          Best regards

            Well,even Detlev thinks "maybe"..

I personally still think it's the original catch..
Nevertheless I think in this case it's not a big deal, even if it was repaired it's very hard to notice and very well done.

            Jos.

Any comment on the MM? There is quite a gap between the S and W.Any alarm bells on that?

I see no problems on the MM Bob.
Rest of the badge is 100% Juncker, small differences can occur between badges.

                  Juncker Pilot Catch

I've got several Juncker pilot badges in my collection--some early thin construction and the later Buntmetal, heavier constructed ones. The catch on the gentleman's Juncker pilot, in my opinion, is fine. Here are two shots of Junckers. The first one I've had for more than 30 years. The second was personally given to me by a now-deceased Holzhammer Geschwader 2 Knight's Cross winner. Please note where the hinges are.
