    Hello,

    I got this badge.
    It’s in great condition.
I would like to hear your opinion.
    Is everything fine with it?
    Thanks for your help!

    Hello,

Sorry, but that is a very well-made fake, trying to be a J.E. Hammer & Söhne.

    Best regards,
    Tom

I believe these are attributed to S&L as post-war souvenirs, although I'm seeing an increasing number of them available.

                Hello,

Negative! The badge pictured at the start of this thread is not a postwar Steinhauer & Lück but just an outright fake that started appearing in the market at least ten years ago. They are definitely becoming more frequently seen as they continue to flood the market. Many of this type of fake can also be found with spurious G.H. Osang markings.

                Best regards,
                Tom

Here are two more examples of fakes just like the one that started this thread. Both of these have spurious G.H. Osang markings, although most of the fakes of this type are unmarked. Be especially careful with online auctions as I have seen many of this type of fake being sold on auctions. In one particular case, Affiliated Auctions had three or four of these fakes up for bids in one auction.

                    Best regards,
                    Tom

I have to say I quite like the design of that eagle Most eagles on the real Ground Assault badges don't look very good/detailed in my opinion. Still, I'm pretty happy with my Osang

                        Hello,

I agree. The eagle on the postwar S&L is a beauty.

                        Best regards,Tom
