I am not getting a good feeling on this one. It looks like an Assmann bird on what reports to be a Junker badge.

The hacked off lightning bolts don't bother me as this was done during the war

Its a fake in my opinion

      Hi Dmitriy,

I like it a lot. IMO It´s a lovely J3 Alu COAG (cut-off blitz), most likely done period

          Hi Dmitriy,

I can only agree with Karsten, a perfectly fine original Juncker in great condition for such a fragile early aluminum badge like this. As Karsten says, this one started its life as a ROAG, but the bolts were cut off somewhere down the line making it an AG. The cut is very neat and clean and certainly possible that it was done wartime as is known from recipients, but impossible to be 100% sure of when it was done. Nice example, gorgeous condition.

Karsten, you are showing 2 different birds there, the closeups of the hinge and catch are from a different badge than the O & R shots you are showing.

          Tom
If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

            I am aware Tom
I just didn’t have close-ups of the hinge and catch of the first.
            Had to improvise
