Gold fighter clasp question about arrow paint

    Hello guys,

I saw this Gold fighter clasp (Frontflugspange) for sale, and I was wondering about the color of the arrow. Was this factory done in black/dark grey or is this one refinished ?

I can't remember seeing one like this before, with such a bright color.

    Interested to hear your opinions,

    Thanks,

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

According to the Niemann certificate this clasp was cleaned and newly blackened.

      Hello Thomas,

I didn't even read the certificate ! Thanks for that, I will not touch it because if is refinished.

Did they look like this when they came out the factory with the black painted arrow ?

They are not painted but chemically blued.

Might be a refinished lower grade instead of a gold class.
I would not touch it as well.

My thoughts as well, the gold finish looks suspect and the black arrow paint is definately a red flag. Not one I would want.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
