Pilot / Observer Badge - Rough, but legit?

In the midst of figuring out the ropes of this forum so I thought I'd start out with something simple such as the authenticity (or lack thereof) this Pilot/Observer Badge. I know it's a rather scarce award and there is a virtual mine field of repros so I thought I'd bring it to a group who's reputation for knowing the deal on this type of item has been recommended.
