    Brudern Schneider Pilot

Finally I got a patent complete with box and Pilot with the writing Bruder Schneider, Wien. I would like your opinion because the eagle is not dark instead of silver?

Excellent set, lovely case. Good match. No dark on the eagle its just cuz it have been clean at some point. The badge in on the base metal of nickel silver.

        Hi Carlo,

Nice matching set. The badge is a gorgeous original but I suspect its been cleaned and polished up a bit on the obverse, based on the lack of factory darkening on the eagle and the difference in patina look as seen on the reverse. Nice textbook setup and love the round tip to the pin, a nice worn example IMO. Case is a perfect match and correct for BSW, nice set.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Thanks to Seb & Thomas, but I don't think it's been cleaned. It's a brilliant silver

Original badge and good matching case, Carlo! But I agree that it's heavily cleaned. BSW always has a black eagle, not silver like IMME...

They didn't answer me, I look forward, I think it left the factory like this. I think it is not easy to remove darkenig even in the places where the eagle is attacked behind.

Carlo, the entire badge was dipped into a harsh chemical that stripped all the original dark finish off the eagle. Everything was dipped, including the wreath so as long as the liquid chemical can reach all the crevices it cleaned off the original factory applied darkening/gun-blueing.
