    Deumer pilot badge

    Hello friends,
I got this beautiful pilot badge maker W.Deumer, Lüdenscheid from Giel. The Deumer was make from Juncker parts. One question, it is the first time I saw a Deumer with no cut off between the legs, it is more rare then the cut off version? Opinions are welcome.
    Best regards

Nice deumer/juncker pilot in light worn condition.
Seems the employee had a hard time doing the mm stamp.
Yes, i would say the version without cut-out is more rare, opposite of it’s J2
    Juncker marked brother.

Why?, does it mean that Deumer wanted this version of the eagle when ordering from Juncker?, whether it is rather a case of.
His true version D2 is more often seen with the notch

            Hi Winfried,

Very nice original Deumer in nicely worn condition. A little trouble with the maker mark apparently, but 100% textbook mark. Just a little atypical.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Once again the topic of notches
Looking at the shape of the notchs in J2 parts badge suggests that they were already made in Deumer's workshop.
They are similar in both, true Deumer badges and J2 parts.
Maybe cutting between eagle's legs was supposed to be standard at this manufacturer, hence the small number of badges without cutouts.
And in the example that started the thread the employee just didn't want to, or what MM image suggests, had a bad day
