    Cased Assmann Pilot

Just wanted to post picks of the fairly rare cased Assmann Pilot I picked up at the SOS...This is probably the rarest Assmann Pilot behind the A1 Eggs...This is the thin wreath with the transitional eagle...This eagle was only used for a short period of time, which is unfortunate as I think its a bad ass looking eagle!...Seb list this in his book as a Type 4....its a near mint badge with a ton of patina

I wish my pictures captured better its detail...I need to work on my photography skills!

Glad you pulled the trigger John, you don't have many chances to obtain one.
This example has beautiful wear all around. Top eagle design!

Very nice indeed. I agree that style of eagle is really different.

                Congratulations.

                      Hi John,

Gorgeous early Assmann with excellent look to it, and nice matching case as well. Textbook set.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
