4 windows high sea fleet badge

    Hello

I' m really new here in the forum and would like to ask you for options on this badge.

There are original badges with 4 windows in the market I know, but I am not really shure with this one.

thanks for your help in advance.

    cheers

    Martin

      .

I have my concerns about it but need better pics.

Can you post pics square on not from an angle?

      Cheers,
      David.
At Rathau on the Aller, the CO of 5th Royal Tanks advanced on foot to take a cautious look into the town before his tanks moved in. He encountered one of his own officers, a huge Welshman named John Gwilliam who later captained his country's rugby team, 'carrying a small German soldier by the scruff of his neck, not unlike a cat with a mouse.' The Colonel said: 'Why not shoot him?' Gwilliam replied in his mighty Welsh voice: 'Oh no, sir. Much too small.'

        Hallo Martin,

I agree with David. This is a copie, here is another one just like it the mm is the easiest give away.

              thanks for your options.

              Are these badges also fakes?

I got all three badges from one person.

              regards

                Hallo Martin,

From the reverse they look both OK. Any chance of an obverse pic.

enclose are pics of the front.

Do you still think, they are ok?

                    Hallo martin,

                    The Fo still looks ok.

Starting to doubt the U boot clasp and this based upon the fact that the eagles right claw doesn't seem to touch the middle swas arm. Can you confirm this or even better post a picture of the eagle.

Here is what it should look like. Can you recognize the same finish texture on your badge?

The whole swastika looks weird on Martin's clasp. Maybe re-nazified with a reworked swastika?
                      Cheers, Frank

                        Hello Philippe and Frank,

that sounds not good to me.

I made some more pics and I think, your are right.

In comparison to yours the swastika looks different, so I think, it was changed.

But now, I think, the swas on the sub badge is also changed. If you take a look to the side of the swas, you can see a line. Is this normal?

Three badges and all fakes, thats not a good start.

                        regards

                          Hallo Martin,

I still can't see anything wrong with the swas on the Fo, i that is a replacement it's perfectly executed.

That isn't the case with the clasp though. To me it looks like only the upper arm is original to the badge. However based upon these pics I'm starting to doubt the entire badge. It looks like there are thiny casting holes visible in the eagles legs.

I'm really not sure. Who would first denazify a fake and then go to the trouble of reparing the swas again. Could you post similar close-ups of the mm?

Sorry you probably misunderstood me I was asking for a picture of the clasp's mm.
