U-Boat Badge Petz & Lorenz for Review (D)

I'm going to be selling some of my U-Boat badges on the E-Stand and John Robinson suggested I post each one her for review so it can be referenced in the E-Stand listing. There will be 8 badges and 3 clasps total.

Very nice Petz & Lorenz Tombak U-Boat badge -- the only maker who silvered the whole planchet badge before gilding.

I agree, nice tombak P&L I cannot recall seeing this type of hardware on tombak P&L before, could you also post side views of the hinge and pin please?

This variant is UC# 5.3.1 in the U-Boat classification system, having the less common setup with the trimmed down lily-pad hinge.

The same reverse setup is also seen on the Petz & Lorenz IAB and PAB badges.
