U-Boot Badge Maker

I recently acquired this U-Boot Badge. I've been collecting for a long time, but am not a badge expert. Can anyone tell me the maker of this badge? It came with a paper bag of issue that is marked Schwerin-Berlin, but I am not sure if they belong together.

Hi Barry,

Your badge is a nice unmarked Schwerin but the envelope you describe is a fake, assuming it’s the same type of envelope seen here which originally was paired with a fake U-Boat badge that was also marked “SCHWERIN” but cast from the Deumer design.

Yes, that’s a typical example of the fake blue envelope. Anyway, Schwerin badges were in cartons, not envelopes.
