Hi Robin,

Likely a correct FLL Coastal Artillery but with an exceptionally poor surface texture which is very suggestive of cast production.

We’ve long thought these FLL CA badges are late war cast production rather than being die struck, largely due to the coarse surface texture and some quite bad-looking examples like that one.

Cast probably but not meaning a cast fake, it is a period cast example. I think the finish, based on others of this type, is original also to the badge.
