Finish question on Uboot clasp

Is it only me that have toughts about this "silver" clasp.

It maybe have lost all it´s finish but it still have bronze finish och the catch and pin, it could maybe be the picture.

1st pattern looks like worn bronze grade.

U-boot Clasp

I thought the same thing when I saw it, a bronze one.

Indeed a bronze ,
Just pointing out the obvious , Schwerin only made one bronze object that is the uboat clasp so no comparable .
We do know the silver did not change colour by magic trick .

I have now looked again with the magnifying glass and found the rest of the bronzing are available.

It is already come in there in the sold book both clasps are registered, bronze and silver. I have to ask the family again where the silver clasp is
