mmmmm , Looks a bit fishy . Pity there's no close up of the hook . Original Peekhaus method of construction would be for the hook to be fitted and held in place by crimping the body metal over its edges .

I've seen fakes with a shallow countersink made in the spot where the hook is to fit to give this impression , but the hook is then just soldered or even glued into the depression . Also the hook almost obscures the first letter of the makers name its so close . Check it out with your glass

Yes is a crude cast specimen,
Look at this area I marked in blue it looks awful
