      Hello Stefan,

The maker of your PAB is unknown but if referred to as the " daisy " PAB.Also made as a semi-hollow variant..yours looks like a good one to me but wait for the PAB experts to verify my opinion

        Stefan,
Why don't you do your own homework? You only list items to seek approval before you list them on our e-stand. All your posts seek authentication only so that you may sell the items later. I know that there are thoes that say the more items on e-stand the better and I agree. However, most of us do our homework and figure it out for our ourselves with help. You however depend on us to sell your items by authenicating them. Don't be so damn lazy and get with the program.

I think we need a choking icon! I almost lost it on that one Chet!

          Talk about pet-peeves!

I hate these type of threads too and concur completely when they are used solely for the purposes of authenticating something for resale just to make a buck and have absolutely no value to the collector or this forum.

I understand there are those that contribute a lot to this forum and ask these things from time to time as well, but it's abused too often here IMO. I know, I know, I probably pissed a bunch of people off some more.

            Tim,
I greatly appreciate your support in what can be considered as my greatest "pet peeve" on our forum. Thoes such as Stefan give nothing and are here only to line their pockets. They are nothing more than parasites....

I guess you are little too hard. Now, I feel stupid, because I made quite of few posts like this as well...anyway, I think it is good to have these posts with questions about authenticity, because guys like me can always learn something from it. On the other hand it must be boring for you (and the other forum veterans)…<o =""></o>

                Hi Robert,
You completely misunderstand my issue. I have no problem helping or giving advice to indviduals who are seeking to learn. I just have a hard time tolerating members who only ask for fellow member to authenticate their items so that they may sell the on e-stand. If you check Stefan's profile you will see what I mean. Is it so hard to give something back to the forum other than selling? If you are only here to sell then you best do your homework instead of leeching off of the membership.

Hi Stefan, the U Boat badge is made by "FO" I think, due to the "heart" shaped chest.

                        Cheers, Ade.

Yep, although FOs usually have the pin horizontal.

Could also be F&BL or one of a few others. Have a look at Gordons site, maybe you can Id it there.

I just have a hard time tolerating members who only ask for fellow member to authenticate their items so that they may sell the on e-stand.
                              Here are my thoughts...

                              Point #1:
This practice should be encouraged and embraced not ridiculed.

I always like to see a link next to items on the estand where the item has been discussed. This serves as "comfort" to buyers.

                              Point #2:
The e-stand is not your personal militaria website catalog software.

People who sell frequently and offer no other contributions to the forum may be suspected of running a business. Go open a web site and promote it through accepted channels. sell items also on estand when prices are more in line with "collector to collector" range.

                              Point #3:
Do research prior to posting "opinions please" threads.

Examining reference material that already exists in abundance on this site will give any post you make substance. Pasting a link to what you have found, or other photos to compare will assist other in making healthy decisions about your item.

Simply asking opinions about a textbook, maker marked item that you could have authenticated yourself in 5 minutes research is a red flag for those who have peeves about this sort of thing.

AFTER doing your homework I see no reason you can't ask for reasurring confirmation that your conclusion and research is valid. We all want reassurance and I see no problem with that desire in and of itself.

We have to be vigilant about fakes on e-stand therefore I beleive the practice should be encouraged without fear of ridicule.

Thanks for listening to my opinions.

                              regards,
