From my old collection of many years ago. I am posting them here for opinions before they are listed for sale on the Estand. If any fellow members would be so kind as to PM their opinions as to their current value I would be most grateful as they were all bought a long time ago. Regards. Jim

It's always of help if the badges are posted individually.
Anyway, here is my opinion on the above badges.
1.Looks like a good zinc Deumer, minus the hinge and mainpin.
2.A good tombak Schwerin Blockade Breaker, with what appears to be an attempt at de-Nazification ?
3.Looks like a good zinc S&L Artillery badge.
4.A good wartime compatible Hilfskreuzer by Souval.
5.A good wartime compatible Minesweeper by Souval, although the obverse appears refinished ?
I may be wrong here.
6.This is the oddest one of the lot,i'm not quite sure what to make of it.It looks like a very worn RS&S Fleet badge with a replaced mainpin and a very extreme catch replacement that used a rivet to hold the catch in place. The rivet is also visible on the obverse.
7. Despite the crack in the wreath this is a very nice 2nd pattern S-Boat badge in zinc by Schwerin.
Cheers,Martin.

Hi Jim,
I agree with Martin with a few extra comments:
1) The Deumer Minesweeper with the absent hardware is worn and hand vaulted, yet the gilding is complete on the reverse even over dinged and worn areas, so I think the gilding was refreshed sometime after it was worn.
2) Agree, denazified original Schwerin Blockade Breaker.
3) S&L zinc coastal artillery but refinished both obverse and reverse.
4) Agree, good Souval Hilfskreuzer
5) Agree, good Souval Minesweeper with a refinished obverse. Also, need a closeup of the catch to ensure it's okay.
6) Agree, an excessively worn down original R.S.&S. Fleet badge with crude repair which one would like to think was done in wartime. Hard to imagine how a badge could get that worn in normal use? Certainly a conversation piece.
7) Agree, a nice original Schwerin S-Boat, crack and all.
Best regards,
---Norm
