    High seas badge

Hello, attached is a recent purchase off of E-Stand. This badge had been painted grey with model airplane paint. I cleaned the paint off. Here's what it looks like now.

My research says it's real. Any opinions?

Hard to say from those photos but it doesn't look promising. Wartime-compatible Souval Fleet badges (like the two attached here) looked pretty rough to begin with, and I suspect may have been cast production like their Destroyer badge.

Since you have the badge in hand, can you provide better closeup photos showing the hinge and catch attachment areas from the side, as well as a view of the edges of the badge?

      Best regards,
      ---Norm

Thanks guys for evaluations regarding the badge.Post war Souval badge,so no more effort is
necessary to determine originality as war produced. It looks good as a filler, and paid so little, I do not feel bad.
        Have a great day,
        Peter
